I didn’t think I’d join the bitter masses, but it’s finally happened: PLDT myDSL officially sucks! 7 days now and counting.

    is there any single reliable broadband ISP in Pinas? a lot of people cursed smart bro/wifi, the same goes to globe. any other alternatives? i’m planning pa naman to get into netrepreneur fulltime. that really sucks.

    I think it really depends on you location.I’m using smart bro/wifi for 5 months now and I’m quite satisfied on their service.And we are using PLDT myDSL in our office here in Eastwood and still no problem.
    If you’re loooking for an alternative, Eastern Telecom is a must try as well.They are one of the promising ISP provider.I think Globe is available only in few area in Metro Manila.A must try as well.

    And what’s bad about that with PLDT is I don’t think you get any rebate of some sort.

    I guess the best way to go about getting a broadband provider is to survey which is the least problematic in your area, not necessarily the best. So far, I’m happy with my Bayantel SkyDSL subscription after switching from PLDT myDSL. Haven’t heard or read any complaints about the service in my general area.

    I had the same problem before. I tried calling them, sending text, sending email and nobody is calling back. After about 5 days I made a script that dumped about 10 emails ever now and then.

    I’ve sent my complaint letter to all pldt email addresses I can find in the internet.

    Siguro they’ve received about 1000 emails from me. Ayun narindi, panay ang tawag sa akin and naayus din after 1 whole week of downtime.

    Bossing, naku daming reklamo talaga nyan mydsl na yan. dami pa kamong alibi. Sana nag zipidee (skycable)ka nalang at least cable or kaya yung sa mydestiny. Di pa kasi ganon ka stable ang dsl connection dyan sa pinas. hate ko pa dyan sa mydsl na yan sa customer service, they will put you on hold for 1 hour. basta sana nag cable ka nalang at least smooth sailing ka pa!

    actually, stable na sya dati. i have been a pldt mydsl subscriber for the past four years and it’s only been recently na nagkakaloko-loko. ever since the 999 plans came out, everything went downhill from there. i don’t think pldt was expecting so many subscribers right away - di kinaya ng infrastructure nila.

    and yes, i’m still with pldt and also having a lot of problems with it lately.

    I ended up using dial up. I know it sucks. but better then nothing.

    I tried Globe, but slower than PLDT. anyways, WiFI- weRoam toooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow.

    Best bet, go to a hotel with Wifi, and work from there.

    AND PLDT customer service sucks too.

    good luck… it should be up soon … keep calling them and tell them that you are switching to Globe if it doesn’t get fixed. in 24 hours.

    ok yung info buti na lang nkita ko agad, i was planning to get pa naman yung mydsl. at least ngayon alam ko na. Salamat ha,Tama yung sabi nila halos lahat ng costomer service operators never take the job seriously. alam nyo sa ibang bansa napakasarap tumawag regarless of time napaka curtious nila at pag may sinabi sila na aayusin talaga on the spot aayusin specially sa mga banks. kaya siguro malago ang kanilang economy.

    Bakit ang very low ang speed at received And sent bytes nyo ang tagal pa ito bago kami maka open. dapat ayusin nyo ito kasi lumalabas parang di nyo ito napapansin sa server nyo. nagbabayad rin naman kami dapat patas lang. pag ganyan na ka connect na kami at hindi makabukas dahi low speed and received bytes parang lumabas panloloko kasi nagbabayad kami na di nagagamit. Sana di aabot na magreklamo pa ang mga subscriber kasi trabaho nyo ito.

    We’ve been using PLDT myDSL for some time now. Every now and then we couldn’t connect whethet we use Oper, Firefox, or even IE. In fairness, that doesn’t last vey long, at least no for a whole day. Still, it’s a real bummer. Especially if you need to surf for things very often. I wish they upgrade their capabilities. They must be spread out too thinly over a very wide customer base. They can do it though. If they only would have the politial will. They are financially anfd technically capable of improving. I wonder when they will do that.

    I’d like to share my experience to PLDT myDSL, always disconnecting, hard to connect, sometimes you were connected but no activity or not responding. I think PLDT cannot accomodate Internet Connection properly, they are just good in Telephone Lines. So I switch now to Bayantel Sky DSL, perfectly fits my needs in surfing the internet, very fast, very kind and accomodating customer service representatives, they act as quick as lightning. If there is a problem to your SkyDSL Internet, they have actions within less than 24 hours, quickly and well-kind Bayantel personnel. Unlike in PLDT myDSL, they keep u promising to fix your DSL for a few weeks. i have waiting for days, weeks, months, calling from time to time, i’m getting so much headaches. grrrrrrrrrrr.. Just I hate their customer service and their Internet service. PLDT myDSL always sucks.

    PLDT Service is the BEST!!! yes! you heard it right.

    3 weeks ng nagloloko myDSL ng gf ko. sabi pupuntahan daw. pero hindi naman pumupunta. Napuno na kami. Inemail namin support nung gabi at nagrereklamo kami.

    tapus kinaumagahan punta agad technician. wala ako sa haus ng gf ko kaya siya lang talaga kausap technician. advise ng technician, bili raw ng bagong lan card at ireformat pc. comment? suggestions? violent reactions? Kasi tinest niya laptop niya dala for connection at gumana. pero yung sa pc namin, hindi gumana.

    naconclude namin ngaun na, ok yung connection. that being said, pwede na namin gawan ng paraan. pero di ko pa rin talaga makakalimutan yung pabilhin kami ng lan card. hehehe.

    so, what we did was do a system restore. fortunately my backup siya before masira mydsl niya. ayun ok na.

    Wed night approx 10pm: nagemail kami support
    THurs early morning, punta technician
    Fri morning, dame tumatawag from pldt at nagtatanong kung ayus na pc niya. :) sa dame ng tumatawag nagrereklamo na sakin gf ko hehehe.

    Dati MyDestiny gamit kong broadband, medyo ok sa simula pero ones nagkaroon sila ng technical problem…. and i guess is buong subscriber nila affected (tinatanong ko friends ng asawa ko who are also in MyDestiny kung sila din ganon… well sadly it sucks) But atleast they answer back like 2 or 3 days….

    Unlike TANGINA PLDT, fuck naka plan P3,000 kami and it sucks big time…. ginawa lang ng PLDT kinabit lang modem at tinest yung speed… of course siyempre wowow abot 1100KB…. of course laki tuwa ko….. so i shut the pc down and pirma na ng contract etc. and etc. and entertain the PLDT guy and thank him… pero after he left and i open up the Modem. damn after 20min napuputol sucks big time intermitted…. so i got my DSL like August 21 or something and ewan ko kung ginagawa nga talaga yung trabaho ng mga call support i already reported them na intermitted at lagi napuputol connection ko…. so the promptly reply na wait ko na lang yung call ng Technical Group…. so i wait… damn 3days na passed not a single call….. medyo nasa good moood pa ako that time so i just call up again and reported it….. Tangina umabot na kami september 5 wala pa rin….. So 2 weeks kami nagiiintay ang tawag ng tawag sa 172, 171 and 173 regarding the problem and as usual the same fucking routine nila na wait na lang po yung call ng technical…… since IT ako and my alam ako konti sa networking…. naisip ko baka grounded ang line, so nag request na lang ako kahit sino na lang mauna either technical or isang pldt repair crew na mag check if grounded line namin…. sadly 3 or 4 days bago dumating…. buti na lang my father in law was cool in fixing electronics and other gadget stuffs…. he fixed it instead….. so we check then the phone was not noisy and the line is not grounded…. i tested and crossed my finger…. and damn still the same… after 30mins poooof intermitted, and sometimes speed connection goes 30kb….. Next morning, a pldt crew came (at long last) and check di nga grounded yung line. (sabi ko sa sarili ko siyempre kung di ka pala tanga eh inaayos na sarap murahin) told him na lang check ano problem… he said sa technical ng pldt na lang tumawag kasi sa phone line lang kami…. and they just fucking left……. so i called up 172, and told them “kailan ba sila kikilos???” “tangina tagal na ako nagrereport wala man lang kumikilos?? Then i ask them to replace my modem, kasi modem ko yung bulok na PLDT na modem hindi yung Nokia one…….. And told her na yung modem ko mabilis mag init and hindi siya yung nokia na mas matibay… then this gurl said, Sir yung technical lang po makaka decide kung puwede eh change yung modem…. Sabi ko WHAT THE FUCK????? I already told you the scenarios lady and do you think di pa rin papalitan modem???” Sabi na ng PLDT niyo di kami grounded… so ano pa puwede maging dahilan ah??? tangina tanging modem and splitter na lang natitirang hypothesis…… ginawa ko direct modem to line (not using splitter, ganon pa rin kaso this time mga 35mins bago mag intermitted)…. Tangina naman gamitin niyo naman common sense niyo….. there are no other options na and fuck i subscribe for plan 3000…. tangina if they dont do anything talaga fucking terminate ko toh and im not paying a single scent, my wife got suspended and malapit na matangal sa trabaho because of them…… (In house call center)

    Buti pa mydestiny kahit papaano my technical na tatawag or pupunta kahit late for 2days or less… Pero ang PLDT wala BULOK!!! BULOK kayo…. and your fucking ruining your fucking name……

    Sana my foreign telecomm company mag save sa philippines… wala na kasi talaga pag asa ang broadband dito sa pinas kung kapwa pinoy lang hahawak dahil alam naman natin ang ibang ugali ng filipino regarding sa serbisyo…. tamad and di ginagawa… kunyari sasabihin gagawin pero fuck pasok dito labas sa kabilang tenga….

    i believe saying “PLDT sucks” is already redundant. because PLDT is already synonymous suckiness. But what the hell, PLDT SUCKS!!!!!!!

    Guys… Why don’t we plan to put PLDT down? Through violent means of course.

    We can start killing PLDT technicians or workers. This way, they will be more sensitive to our needs.

    If that doesn’t work…
    Let’s kill main figures in the company. Or better yet, let’s kill everyone. Take over. Run it smoothly. Then let’s call the company PLDT-Free ["Making a future that is PLDT-free."]

    Please.. I want to kill each and every person associate with that name. Please. Please. Please. Will anybody join me? I’m still not sure how to do this. But maybe a bomb will do good. For one month, we will daily make prank calls to the police or to them saying that there is a bomb planted somewhere inside the heart of PLDT. If we do this, everytime they receive a bomb threat they will be less alert for it, and when the perfect time comes, let’s make it REAL. Let JUSTICE reign for the first time in telecommunications and infotech history. Let GOOD win over evil. Let’s erradicate them. Let’s remove them from this world.

    guys i would suggest you try BayanTel SkyDSL.
    their dsl rocks. we are subscribed for almost 5mos now, and so far no problem. they will even inform you in advance through email or phone whenever there will be a downtime or outage.

    Im back again, to tell you what happened in my PLDT DSL Plan. By the way typo error ako sa last ko i meant cent not scent lolz got pissed off that time cguro kaya kahit mali mali na type and grammar ko cge lang just to release my frustration on my PLDT DSL.

    Anyway back to my story.

    Since wala pa rin tumatawag na PLDT to assist us, my wife and i have decided to go back to MyDestiny (which is now our broadband connection) dahil termination na ang susunod na hatol after the suspension. So no choice but we have to go from paranaque going to Boni to have my wife worked and stayed in a hot appartment where there she will work instead. Next morning i texted MyDestiny to call us and we want to reconnect our line. I guest after 15mins Destiny called and puwede pa rin sir eh reconnect since di ko pa naman na susurrender yung motorola na cable modem niyo. All i have to do now is just fax a letter pertaining we want to reconnect on the sales-technical group. After faxing, i guest after 5 or 6hours, yung parang pinaka head ng sales and tech(i guest) tumawag and confirmed na for reconnection. And i confirmed na ok paki reconnect na lang ulit kami kasi ginagamit nga ng wife ko sa In-House Call Center. And sabi cge po sir, after 3hours po paki check na lang internet niyo kung ayos na. Sabi ko tapos cge maam mamaya pa 6pm ko pa machecheck kasi nasa office pa ako, eh reresetup ko pa ulit. After office, rush home and removed the PLDT setup and place it to its box, and got my modem back from its box and resetup it. The online was blinking, so wala pa kami connection, i texted destiny and after 3mins my tumawag. Sabi ko for reconnection kami and wala pa… so sabi ng technical ah ok sir, pls wait check po namin. Boom surprisingly wala pang 5mins ayos na. And nag ask pa yung technical “Sir ok na po ba?” i said “Yes” and my wife and i were happy since di ko na hahatid wife ko sa boni. And nag ask pa yung technical kung my problem pa. sabi ko wala na ok na thank you very much. so our bandwidth was around 400kb to 500 which is ok naman rather than the poor intermitted service of PLDT. Few days ago nagkaroon kami problem sa Destiny pero sabi nila my problem daw talaga buong paranaque Destiny, so we have to wait by tonight or tomorrow kung ayos na. Masaya ako sa outcome kasi my nagrereply na technical support and my nag eexplain kung bakit down or what. Di tulad sa PLDT BULOK na wala ka maaasahan na feedback or reply back sa customer. Blackout ka wala ka alam kung ano problem, kung sa iyo ba or sa kanila ang problem. No feedback poor service.

    I admit maganda lang DSL KAPAG i repeat KAPAG stable na connection mo and after 5 or 6mons of waiting my pupunta na DSL or magsusumbong ka sa head or president ng PLDT para kumilos sila (based on the above Blogs concern sa PLDT). PANGIT sa kanila SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE, which yun usually habol ng customer. Wala kabit lang nila modem pag check speed ok na, batche na…. wala man lang silang sariling motive na mag wait and check like 30mins kung mag intermitted ba or what. Hindi eh batche agad. Nakakakinis tapos tatawag ka pagiiintayin ka sa call tapos wala naman, makakalipas na 1mon wala pa rin. 5mons or 6mons pa bago nila aayusin which is suck or BULOK. Sinisira nila pangalan nila. Gagawa sila ng promo bilis kabit tapos bagal naman sa serbisyo pag naikabit. Parang ayan kabit ko na bahala na kayo diyan. Nakakabuwiset yung ganon.

    So don sa nagsasabi bulok Mydestiny, mas bulok PLDT dahil destiny kahit nagdodown like 1 or 2 days atleast my nagreresponse. my tumatawag na technical di tulad sa PLDT. Di ka iwan na empty handed or any idea kung bakit sira.

    Ngayon ay followed up my termination for PLDT, kailan ko pala soli yung Modem and have to pay the 3mons advance don sa bill. Sabi ko sa pldt customer service, ano ako bali di ako tanga at magbabayad niyan. Kung gusto nila magkademandahan na lang. PANDARAYA GINAGAWA NIYO PLDT at ALAM NIYO YON. THE CUSTOMER WAS NOT SATISFIED AT YOUR SERVICE and WE ARE TERMINATING IT BECAUSE OF YOUR POOR SERVICE TPOS NGAYON HIHIRITAN NIYO KAMI BABAYADAN NAMIN DAPAT YUNG 3MONS NA TERMINATION OF CONTRACT. OK LANG SANA KUNG TUMAGAL KAMI 3MONS PUWEDE NIYO SABIHIN NA NAGAMIT NAMIN YUNG INTERNET AND NAKA PAG AVAIL KAMI NG PROMO PLANS NIYO. EH KASO HINDI EH, WE DIDNT USED YOUR FUCKING INTERNET DAHIL FUCKED UP PALAGI AND 3WEEKS LANG NAGAMIT.
    TAKE NOTE NA SUSPENDED PA ASAWA KO DAHIL SA KABOBOHAN OR KAPANGITAN NG SERVICE NA PINAPATUPAD NIYO. KAYO NGA DAPAT DYAN ANG DAPAT EH DEMAND DAHIL SA INYO MATATANGAL ASAWA KO SA TRABAHO. PURO KAYO SALITA WALA KAYO SA GAWA, PURO CGE SIR INTAY NIYO LANG CALL NG TECHNICAL…. PERO WALA PA RIN. NAUUUPOD NA MGA DALIRI NG MGA CUSTOMER NIYO AT FRUSTRATED NA FRUSTRATED NA WALA PA RIN….. PUWEDE NIYO GAWIN NEGOSYONG PANDARAYA YAN, WHAT IF MARAMI MAG SUBSCRIBE SA INYO, SABAY GANYANIN NIYO RIN. KABIT PALPAK NA MODEM SABAY ALIS, TAPOS DI NIYO BIGYAN NG SERBISYO, DI NAGUSTUHAN TAPOS NG CUSTOMER AT PAPAPUTOL SIYEMPRE BABANAT NIYO YUNG CONTACT FOR 2YEARS SO CUSTOMER MUST PAY 3MONS OF HIS PLAN. EH DI INSTANT TUMUBO KAYO DAHIL SA BOND CONTRACT. SO PANDARAYA YAN GINAGAWA NIYO. DAPAT CASE TO CASE BASIS YAN. DAPAT NGA MERON KAYO MONEY BACK GUARANTEE DAHIL PERWISYO LANG. IF EVER PAGBABAYARIN NILA AKO EH DI SISIRAIN KO PANGALAN NIYO. I WILL EMAIL EVERYBODY KAHIT SINO NASA LISTAHAN KO NG EMAIL MAPAKANO, EUROPEAN, OR HAPON AND TELL THEM THAT PLDT DSL IS VERY VERY VERY VERY POOR SERVICE NIYO AND PANDARAYA NA GAGAWIN NIYO. AND TELL THEM THE WHOLE STORY WHAT HAPPENED TO US. OK LANG NAMAN CGURO YAN SA ISANG BIIG COMPANY SUCH AS YOURS NA SINISIRA NIYO PANGALAN NIYO DAHIL SA PANDARAYA NIYO.

BASED ON DON SA ADVERTISEMENT NIYO ANG GALENG NG PA EFFECT TITIRAHIN NIYO PA YUNG MGA KAWAWANG OFW NA GUSTO MABUHAY. MAG IINVEST SILA SA INYO. WHAT IF WALA SILA ALAM SA GANYAN, KAHIT SABIHIN NATIN NA LIBRE TRAINING OR WATEVER SHIT JUST TO MAKE YOUR PROMO MAGANDA. KUNG SIRA DSL AT WALA NAG EEENTERTAIN NA SERVICE BALI WALA LAHAT YAN TRAINING NG OFW. AT INSTANT NAKADAYA NA KAYO. MY PERA NA KAYO NA NAKITA DAHIL NAKALOKO KAYO NG KAPWA NIYO FILIPINO!!!!!!

    Anyway yun lang ang opinion, concerns sa other dsl subscribers and karanasan na nangyari sa akin sa DSL.

    SO DONT BE FOOLED BY DSL. OK LANG KUNG PAPAKABIT KAYO DSL, I DONT CARE. AS LONG AS PAG IKAKABIT PA LANG ANG BAGONG DSL NIYO.     PLDT (P*** Labo DSL Talaga!!!) That’s what pldt means, we’ve been down for over 1 week and their 171 Tech support does not even escalate the downtime to their chain of command. I had to call the actual account manager to get things moving. Damn, no CIR (Certified Rate) for rebate, nothing. The tech guy said he’ll call, and yes he calls, and say’s “paki check” of course nothing as usual, then he promises to call again to do some ‘tweaks’ to their system. Then I don’t receive a call after that, I have to call 171 the next day again and the cycle repeats itself all over again. Hell 171 itself is a nightmare to get thru and when you do get thru, you’re treated that your downtime is a new ticket number. I’m up to my neck their service.

    PLDT sucks bigtime. The status says you’re connected but you can’t view pages. They limit the bandwith, upload and download rate. Charge high. Then when we moved ( changed house) only a few blocks away, they promised that my dsl will be transferred with the phone line, but I had to wait 1 1/2 months for them to get it fixed. Worst is they charged me for it. I didn’t even get to use it.

    i applied for dsl oct 11. the modem was installed/connected on oct 16 - impressive…ang bilis ha…so i started using kasi pldt claims na pwede 24/7. the next day oct 17, i was still able to use it to my heart’s desire - taking a break in between meals…siempre excited…bagong kabit kasi ang bilis pa mag-download…i got the EXCITE package. then i had dinner…after dinner, when i wanted to use it - aba, disconnected na! hoy, pldt, mahusay lang ang commercials…butch jimenez yung picture mo nakaprint pa sa mga flyers nyo…pero products and service nyo bulok…i don’t know you pero nakakahiya to be “the Model” for something that truly sucks…then if i decide to terminate my subscription magbabayad ako ng 3 months advance? anuyun? pambayad sa inyong naka puwesto jan? masyado na kayo…kung hindi man kayo mismo ang karmahin…mga anak nyo ang dadapuan ng karma…at buong pamilya at angkan nyo…leche! halatang nasa third world nga ang pilipinas! ayusin nyo na connection ko (along with the rest na may complains)…

    im from west fairview, i’ve been using pldt dsl for over a year now because i have no other choice. i definitely agree with all you guys, PLDT DSL sucks! terrible customer service, both sa hotline at sa main office! macalua, if you thought 7 days was long, well try losing ur internet connection for 24 days!!!! yes, it happened in my area about two months ago…im working from home, so internet is my main business so you can just imagine how agonizing those 24 days were for me!!! i wrote every pldt address i could get hold of, but to no avail.. when finally my line was restored, i trooped to pldt’s fairview office to have my rebate, they gave it to me, but about 2 weeks after, i received a disconnection notice because they said i had an outstanding balance —which was the exact amount of rebate they gave me for 24 days of non-service!!! F^&%#ck them! I again went to PLDT’s office to argue my case, but the women at the customer service counter plainly told me to pay up or else my line would be cut!!! HORRIBLE!!!! Of course I did not pay, but you can just imagine the argument that transpired between us, for someone who does customer service for a living, those people at the PLDT office simply, plainly sucks!!!! they don’t listen to their customers, they give a million lousy excuses, and they even cut me off while i was citing my points. haay, my lamentations can go on and on….i just don’t understand why PLDT simply refuses to act on these matters. it’s so unprofessional and short of stealing from people who honestly pay for their services from honest day’s work!!! i just plainly hate them, and keep on praying that some other reputable company offer its services in my area…

    and oh by the way, just another point to prove pldt’s lousy, sucky service, im working in yet another internet cafe because my connection bummed out last night. the customer service people said they’ll check on it within the day, but i swear from experience that they’re lying through their teeth. and yes, i am still receiving disconnection threats monthly for not paying the rebate they gave me for 24 days of non-sevice. STUPID ASSHOLES, HOPE YOU SIMPLY BURN IN HELL FOR RIPPING OFF PEOPLE WITH YOUR LOUSY SERVICE!!!

    Well. I’m still pissed at PLDT. They don’t even have a comments section on their PLDTmyDsl site coz they probably know that a lot of people will make bad comments about how much their service sucks. Especially that customer service hotline. Stupid people always telling me there is something wrong with my computer but I’m using a brand new high end computer, then they told me that if I have another computer then try it on that one so I used my laptop well still didn’t work. Sheeesh. Then they told me to unplug the modem coz it must be overheating… what?! My room is airconditioned. So wala na xang masabi then told me that they’ll send a repairman soon. So no one arrived, until after 1 1/2 month dumating na yung repairman. Siningil sakin yung 1 1/2 month na di ko nagamit yung internet.

    Dapat tlaga gumawa tayo ng message para sa PLDT, and if you would look madami pang forum na nagrereklamo about PLDT. Damn them. I want to sue them, let’s sue the crap out of them. Maybe we’ll get rebates, faster speeds and better services.

    But then again. Libre naman mangarap eh.

    There’s nothing wrong with your PC. Having a 24-hour airconditioned room for your PC w/ aDSL connection is also not a recommended environment.

    PLDT subscribers will experience intermittent connectivity if we’ll only rely on just the modem alone. Pangit ang equipment nila. Too basic. Biruin mo myDSL XCel (formerly MyDSL Residential Professional) is worth P3,000! It’s equivalent to at least $58!

    Hindi sulit ang binabayad ko (at sigurado ako, lahat ng PLDT DSL subscribers) dahil ang modem na binibigay nila ay hindi nakatutulong sa pagbawas ng mga common interference.

    I am a PLDT MyDSL subscriber since 2000. I was stupid for the first 2 years. Tiniis ko ang patay-sindi na connection dahil akala ko normal lang sya.

    I made my own research. I asked around. In any country and not just true only in the Philippines, DSL service offered by the local phone company itself is totally unreliable most of the time. The best way is to get the services of an independent ISP. Kapag may dumating na independent ISP dito (like http://www.dslextreme.com), lilipat ako without any hesitations whatsoever.

    The best way is setting up a GATEWAY (firewall capability doesn’t need to set-up). Kahit DSL mode + gateway + wireless combo is good (e.g. http://www.2wire.com adsl modem).

    More than 2 years ago, wala pa kasing mga combo equipement. Hiwalay pa yung modem at gateway. Last year lang yata lumabas sa 2wire yung dsl gateway nila na nasa website nila ngayon.

    Anyway, kahit na-setup ko na yung equipement, mabagal ang pasok ng data kasi luma pa ang port systems nila in most areas.

    Alam n’yo ba kung bakit nagtitiis ako sa PLDT? Dalawa lang ang pwede kong piliin na nag-o-offer ng DSL service. Mayabang ang PLDT kasi alam nila na no choice ang mga tao. Kapag may independent ISP na dito, lilipat ako kaagad.

    I hate PLDT. I was one of the early subscibers when DSL was rolled out in the Philippines and since then, I was bothered by high prices, slow speeds and constant down times.
    But since early this year, they have been really pissing me off. I would get inconsistent speeds, that range from very fast to worse than dial-up speeds (like now, downloading Itunes at 4.81kb/sec). Get this: when I try out the speed test at the PLDT web site, I am supposed to be getting 3.3-3.5Mbps. So much for deceptive marketing: run a fat fiber into the building and then having a flimsy backbone to the rest of the world. Great job PLDT!
    My streams are unstable and after a few minutes of streaming, the line would drop. Then the modem does a DC on a regular basis.
    I have a feeling that they are also trying to give VOIP users a difficult time by plugging up ports on a certain range at almost predictive times. This causes the lines to be interrupted one way or drop altogether making calls frustrating. And it is not the VOIP as I have 5 of these units scattered all over the world and it is only in Manila that two of these units do not work well.
    Tech suppost is useless and they know nothing. On top of that, they make you wait for tech to call you up. As if that was bad enough, they are late in doing so and often you sit there twirling your thumbs for an hour before they call back.
    When they do send someone over, they cannot figure out my constant disconnects and just do everything on a trial basis. They switch things around and exchange this and that and hope that it works out. To their credit, the guy who came over to service the line was very polite. However, there is still no resolution to the problem.
    Then one day our phone line was down and you could not call in. I infoed tech support and after some diagnosis declared that their lines are clean and that the problem must be with us. Yeah right. I live in a highrise and luckily through some convincing, I was able to enter the communications room with the building’s master key that is actually off-limits to everyone but PLDT. Well, it was a mess consisting of strands of cables, masking tape, open joints (talk about security), not updated directories, jumpers… just a rat’s nest really. We found out that there was a short on their side and we just fixed it up for them as PLDT was so adamant that all was ok with them. What a load of horse shit.
    They pride themselves that they have a fat fiber pipe that provides the high rise with a stable connection. True enough, there was one, but when I asked PLDT to move me to another port on the switch that is not defective, he admitted that there were not enough left to do so. Great.
    To cut things short: STAY AWAY FROM PLDT. Their marketing is great, but they do not walk the talk. All their touted speeds are limited only to their internal network and does not go beyond the country. If this were another country, they would already have been sued. In Canada, I have a 10Mbps link and not only do I connect to the provider at 1.2-1.3MB/sec, but a download from anyother site is 80-90% of the time in the 600-900kB/second range no matter where it is. So dont let PLDT tell you that it is not possible.

    hayop talaga mga pldt na yan, ako nga 3 weeks na walang connection. everyday 2 time ako tumatawag sa 172 ang sinasabi nila paulit ulit (delaying tactics). kht sa local center ng pldt dito sa lugar namin nagtatago mga staff nila pag may nagrereklamo. sa phone nalang, ang dami dami kong # nila almost 5, kht isa wlng sumasagot. kahit isang oras ka ng tumatawag. walang kwenta talaga pldt, kung may ibang choice lang ako, matagal na kong nagpadisconnect.

    PLDT FAQ:

    1) What is the turn-around time from filling of complaint to actualy resolution? > 1 month!!!

    2) Is the PLDT DSL connect stable?
    PLDT DSL answered: “stable”? what does “stable” mean?

    3) Are the PLDT support folks accomodating?
    PLDT technical support is the most ill mannered, unprofessional, incompetent technical support “team” i have ever encountered. Not to mention they’re also liars.

    4) Why do you need to call 172?
    So that they can tell you “we are doing a remote check of your modem sir/madam. pls wait for a technical support to call you”

    5) Why do you need to call 172 once more?

    6) Why do you need to call 172 the Nth time?

    Because PLDT doesnt care that you are paying more for nothing. They really do not care about existing subscribers. You will have to ask for an upgrade before they can switch your speed to 1.2Mbps.

    8) Why do i need to call up to get upgraded to the higher speed?

    9) Did you get an upgrade after the call?
    HELL NO!!! I’m paying 2000 pesos for the speed of the plan 999 subscribers.

    Kung patay-sindi yung PLDT DSL connection, hindi makakatulong ang 172. Mag-setup ka na lang ng internet gateway. Merong 2 options: wired option at wireless option, which involves a router.

    Hi, I’m a subscriber of SmallBizLite 2mbps download and 768kbps upload connection speed. I am experiencing problems in connection speed especially when my customers are playing online games, like ServerScout, etc.

    On the day of the first installation of DSL connection on my shop, they connected it as personal or office use, meaning not really the applied SmallBizLite, they never even informed me about this. I just found out when the connection was lost and I went to their business office, here in Batangas. It was nearly a week before they fixed the problem. Like everyone said here, PLDT personnels don’t have much knowledge in what they are doing, that’s why they sucks. It’s the MANAGEMENT, that’s the PROBLEM, please improve it!!!

    They must be serious in what they are doing, that’s my piece of cent.

    And.. Don’t bother calling their technical support.

    They are not PLDT employees per se, but agents from a call center company hired by PLDT to “absorb” all the rants and complaints from unsatisfied consumers.

    They listen to your complain, and then read the corresponding solution on their computer screen. They are not competent IT specialists nor Computer Science graduates, but rather just regular people with extra training. Sadly, it’s not enough to handle delicate issues from violent customers.

    In a nutshell, a 12-year old kid would have known what to do with the internet problem.

    bulok talaga PLDT na yan, 5 days na kaming walang internet. bigla na lang na-DC, eh meron pa naman kami nung vonage na VoIP service, tapos birthday pa naman ng mom ko kahapon, i have to buy a budget card para matawagan siya sa US. napakawalang kwenta talaga ng PLDT na yan. puntahan ko pa lang after class (sa classroom ko kasi tinatype to kasi wala pa rin kaming internet sa bahay).

    2nd plan ko to ng PLDT, ung first plan ko lasts 15 months, tpos nung pinadisconnect ko na, ibinalik ko na yung modem. nung kinailangan ko magpakabit ulit (for some reason), sabi pa sa akin na di ko pa daw naibabalik ung modem. WTF??

    anyway, tanong ko lang kung legal ba na gamitin ung VoIP and ung router kung ang plan ng DSL mo eh ung pang-personal?

    I’ve got to post this in the interest of objectivity. My PLDT myDSL subscription has been working for some time now. It’s not yet perfect and there are times when it can’t stay connected but for the greater portion of the clock’s turn, it works, enabling us to research, communicate with relatives, business partners and even school/s.

    Still there is room for improvement. You can do it Mr. Pangilinan. Please don’t take too long.

    PLDT: Is there any other alternative???

    I’ve been using PLDT for quite some time now and even applied for a business plan for my office last year. everything seemed to work fine until about June this year. I have one of the earlier plans from PLDT DSL which costs 1900 plus had the Small Business Junior Plan for the office which cost 2500. For Small Biz Junior, I was supposed to get bursts of up to 2.5mbps and upload of 768 kbps. From June til November 2006, all I was getting was a maximum of 600kbps download and 215kbps download. Usually it would average around 390kbps d/l and 190kbps u/l. Well so much for the 7 or 8 thousand ive been paying for every month. I called almost everyday for 2 straight months. PLDT really sucks. Just a tip for everyone calling, if you want something done quicker, ask for the supervisor, normally they would say their supervisor is not around, so ask for the team leader. If you get Jonas, you’re pretty much fucked as this is guy is one really stupid mother fucker that doesn’t give a shit in the world. One supervisor that gets thing things done is “Melisa Solano”. this if you call 172. I’ll try to recall all of the names of the people that are effective at their tech support and post them here.

    I had the Small Biz Plan cut last November and was being charged for the disconnection, i argued to customer service that I shouldn’t be paying for a service they were not able to deliver, they eventually gave in almost after a month.

    As for now, I need feedback which ISP Providers are pretty good in the Libis/Eastwood area.

    hnd ninyo ginagalaw tulad ng yahoo messenger, limewire basta kelangan laging may program n nagaacess sa internet.

    ive noticed na kahit plan 999 lng gamit ko 20 computers
    can access the internet without a problem tapos karamihan dun eh puro online games pa. bagong kabit palang yung plan 999 ko nun so daily ko chine-check yung speed. napinsin ko pataas ng pataas ung bandwidth(400kbps+) ko kahit plan 999 lng ako.

    since then ive tried to maintain my internet usage at ngayon lang nagloko december 27 yta hanggang naun dahil sa lindol sa taiwan dahil may naputol na cable. dun nakakonekta halos lahat ng internet traffic sa pinas, singapore, thailand, basta ung mga bansa sa southeast asia.

    try yo lang tips ko kasi ok kasi yung plan 999 ko. ang downside lang dun kung gusto ninyong connected 24/7 kelangan online lagi ym ninyo o kaya lagi kayo nagda-download basta kahit anong program na gumagamit ng internet. ung sa kaso ko hnd ko na kelangn ng kasi lagi naman nagiinternet mga customers ko eh tsaka dmi din naglalaro ng online games. pero pag madaling araw lagi din ako disconnected kapag hnd naka on yung yahoo messenger ko.

    isa p pla. pag na disconnect kayo tignan ninyo kung mainit na ung dsl modem/switch/router(maraming silbi ung itim na box na yun) kasi mabilis uminit un. try ninyong patayin muna tpos palamigin kung mainit. pero kung hindi naman mainit pero nadisconnect ka patayin mo lang tapos buksan mo agad. ok na yun connected ka na ulit basta wlang problema sa wiring mo. (ganyan ako lagi pag madaling araw.)

    kung gusto ninyo pala na mabilis ung download ninyo sa dsl try ninyo yung DOWNLOAD ACCELERATOR PLUS. subok ko na to mabilis tlga.

    sana nakatulong ako para hindi na uminit ulo ninyo. ang may problema sa pldt eh yung management kasi ambobo ng mga empleyado nila.

    masasabi ko lng ok na tong pldt mydsl kesa wala at dial up. hnd ko madaya yung dial up eh mabagal tlaga. etong mydsl pwede p pabilisin

    How well your service does is dependent on your place, the condition of the server, etc. Some people who live in some places have no problem with an ISP while others who live elsewhere do. Some people who have problems and live in the same area have PCs that aren’t configured properly. One complains about customer service while another says that service was speedy. And you can’t switch right away because there’s a lock-down period. Sometimes, you might end up switching to a service that a friend recommends because it does well in his place, only to find out that it does badly in yours. Sometimes your service does well for several months until the server is changed, then you experience all sorts of problems.

    Your only solutions are:

    1. Learn how to tweak and fix your PC, modem, and router. Hope that technical is good enough to diagnose and fix local problems (like a faulty server in your neighborhood). Some companies have very good technical support in some places but not in others.

    2. Ask those who live nearby (not those who live in another city or district) and who subscribe to a service about the performance. Note that some who complain might have PCs or equipment (like modems and routers) that aren’t configured properly or that are defective.

    The best option, of course, is for companies to offer some sort of trial period.

Ginawa ko nagtawag ako sa PLDT Technical Service nila pero pinasa ako kc yung account ko daw local kaya dial ako sa local Technical Support nila pero pag tawag ko doon pinasa na naman ako sa corporate kc corporate account ako medyo nalilito na ako kc hindi ko alam na pinapasa pasa lng ako. Masyadong pangit talaga ang kanilang customer support tapos smedyo malaki ang binabayaran namin sa connection. Hindi ko alam kung kaelan ito cla matatauhan sa kanilang ginagawa…..pineperahan na nila tayo….I hope sana mag kaisa tayo at mag file ng class suite sa mga abusado na mga taga PLDT.
